Live in Covenant

 

Jesus wants a family; people who will live in covenant with Him.   

At ERC, we strive to live all of life with Jesus, under Jesus, and for Jesus.  

  

  Jesus is our Immanuel ("God with Us").  In Him, we possess a personal, loving relationship with the one true God.  He perfectly fulfills the promise which is at the heart of our faith: "I will be their God and they shall be my people"  (Jeremiah 31:33).  So, we strive to live all of life in Jesus' presence.        

 

  Jesus is our Anointed King.  His grace captivates our hearts and minds, leading us into willing  service to Him.  He rightly rules over all, which He has said: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me" (Matthew 28:18).  So, we strive to live all of life under Jesus' rules.

 

Jesus is our Desire.  His glory stirs us to live more intimately and more obediently.  He completely deserves our every thought and emotion.  So, we strive to live all of life singing as the Psalmist did: "Whom have I in heaven but you?  And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you."
