I spent my formative years barefoot and carefree on dairy farms in upstate New York. While I was born in Binghamton and spent a few brief years near Canton (on the St. Lawrence Seaway), most of my childhood took place on Arrowhead Farm in Kerhonkson, a tiny village lost in the Catskill mountains of the Mid-Hudson Valley, about 2 hours north of New York City.  

 

From a young age, I learned a life of early mornings, late nights, and hard labor. Personal sacrifice for communal good was woven into my identity. My farm house was also a Christian house. My parents raised my four brothers and me to love Christ and His Church. From my earliest days, I publicly affirmed my belief in and devotion to Christ. I also nurtured the intention to become a pastor from childhood.

 

I graduated from Chapel Field Christian High School in Pine Bush, NY with a solid foundation: a biblical worldview and reformed theology. At Geneva College I continued to develop a biblical worldview and a thoroughly reformed theology of life. In the fall of my junior year, I spent the semester abroad in Airdrie, Scotland and through the ministry of that Church I redefined my commitment and understanding of Kingdom work. I returned to the States engaged to my High School sweetheart and we married that summer before our senior year. After College, Lydia and I began our family as we began seminary. At the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, my preparation for pastoral ministry culminated under the careful discipleship of numerous pastors and professors. I completed my examinations in the Midwest Presbytery of the RPCNA and was Ordained and Installed on August 7^th, 2009 in Enid.
